Skin having atopic eczema can become extremely dry because of too much humidity loss. However, it can be manage by many eczema treatments including the use of moisturizers for dry skin, steroids to overcome inflammation and anti-itch medicines.
The skin of an atopic eczema patient not only becomes reddish, but also scaly, hard and thick especially at the hand and folded skin region, for example, at the elbow and knee region.
